Na Škaluc is owned by Ruud Peeten, Dutch founder and owner of travel agency YUGO Travel. Ruud is a real lover of the Balkans and with YUGO Travel he operates throughout the region. His aim is to organise beautiful trips for his customers and to provide them with an unforgettable Balkan experience.
Since April 2024, Na Škaluc has been his newest and very dear expansion. In the hills of southeast Slovenia, an authentic and not-so-touristy region, he has purchased an estate with 5 rentable units for families (treehouse, apartments, wellness barn, and a lookout tower) and, starting from 2025, 8 furnished tents. This place embodies the realization of a long-cherished dream; a pied-à-terre in the Balkans. Slovenia lies on the fault line between east and west and encompasses the best of both worlds. Team on site
Ruud and his family have fallen in love with this beautiful estate and the lovely region. They prefer to spend as much time as possible at the estate and enjoy spending school holidays there. When Ruud is on site, he will naturally contribute as much as possible to the ultimate vacation experience for his guests. For the daily management of the accommodations, a team of reliable and hospitable managers are employed each season. They handle the check-in process, provide meals and drinks and they serve as your primary point of contact on site for anything you may need.
