Nature, relax, play

Our estate spans almost 6 hectares of forest and meadow, an oasis of green in every shade imaginable. We manage the meadows with great respect for nature, allowing wildflowers to bloom abundantly and providing a habitat where bees, butterflies, and grasshoppers feel at home. Occasionally, a deer or hare wanders across the grounds.

Enjoy the panoramic view of the region from our centrally located, delightful terrace. Wander through the blooming meadows. Find your secluded spot to peacefully read a book or drift away in thought. Gather at the cozy terraces and enjoy good food and wines together. Children can freely play outdoors all day, catching grasshoppers and embarking on the most wonderful adventures. Na Skaluc is a place where the charm of rural Slovenia envelops you. A place you’ll hold dear in your heart.

Playgrounds

In front of the buildings lies a south-facing lawn. We do mow this area so you can enjoy playing football or badminton here. The highlight of the garden is the panoramic swimming pool. There’s also a basketball court and a natural playground. We have a wide collection of reading material and games that are available for you.

Breakfast, snacks and dinner

Every morning, a delicious breakfast buffet is available. Breakfast is included, and for an additional charge, you can assemble your own lunch package. During the day, we only serve small snacks such as a charcuterie board or a grilled cheese sandwich. And of course, the bar is open for ice cream, coffee, or a glass of juice, beer, or wine.

The apartments do not have their own kitchen. Since there are not many other options in the immediate vicinity, you can enjoy a full dinner with us every evening. Vegetarian, fish, meat; there’s always something for everyone. Will you join us for dinner? You can place your order during breakfast on the checkbox form. And if you’d like to dine elsewhere for a change, Slovenia’s best young chef would be delighted to welcome you to his castle for an evening of fine dining Slovenian style (a 20 minute drive away). We’re happy to call a taxi if needed.

E-bikes

The country roads are perfect for long bike rides. But the region is quite hilly and not everyone will tackle these roads without a bit of cursing. That’s why we offer a number of electric hybrid bikes.

Twizzy Time

If you want to go out as a couple, rent our electric Twizzy. It’s eco-friendly, hilarious, and practical all at once. When you rent it, you’ll receive a fun route suggestion with tips for panoramic picnic spots, open farms, and other attractions.

Family summer holidays

Summer is the busiest period on our estate. We cater for families looking for a holiday “like in the old days”. Where kids roam around the meadows and splash in the pool, while parents enjoy the peace.

June & September for peace seekers

June and September are great months to visit Slovenia. The weather is still nice and it’s wonderfully quiet, without crowds.

Group accommodation

From October to May, individual rentals are not available. During that period, we offer opportunities to book all accommodations on the estate together as one group accommodation.

Glamping

Starting from 2025, we can also accommodate you at our glamping site. This is situated on a flat piece of meadow, somewhat sunken into the landscape, so you’ll feel completely surrounded by greenery here. The 8 furnished tents will be arranged like a small street, with 4 on each side. In the central sanitary building, each tent has its own modern bathroom where you can leave your toiletries and shower with unlimited hot water.
