Cycling
The country roads are perfect for long bike rides. But the region is quite hilly and not everyone will tackle these roads without a bit of cursing. That’s why we offer a number of electric hybrid bikes to rent at our place.
Swimming
If you ever want to try different water than our panoramic pool, there are some beautiful mountain streams nearby where you can splash around under the waterfalls. For professional entertainment with lots of slides, you can visit Termini Lasko (20 mins) or Aqualuna in Olimje (40 mins).
Hiking
The forested and rural surroundings of our estate are perfect for both short strolls and long-distance hikes. A variety of scenic trails lead you through tranquil woodlands, charming farmland, and picturesque old villages. Since not all paths are clearly marked, we’ve prepared a curated selection of routes for you. Some hikes start and end right here on our estate, while others are just a short drive away. More details and route suggestions are available upon arrival — just ask!

City Visits
Na Škaluc is situated exactly between the Slovenian capital Ljubljana and the Croatian capital Zagreb. Both are less than a 1.5-hour drive away, making them perfect for a day trip. Closer by is Slovenia’s third and pleasant city, Celje. It’s a 30-minute drive and it has a lot to offer. In the old town there’s still a lot to see from its ancient Roman and mediaeval history. It also hosts fine galleries and interesting museums for the whole family (e.g. Old Castle, Technopark Celje, Tropical House). Cities Maribor and Ptuj (Slovenia’s oldest city) are both an hour drive away and are worth a visit.
